Think about the most daunting moral challenges you have faced in your life. Did you fail or succeed? Did you measure up to who you wanted to be? Do you know who that person is?
I created this course to help you answer these questions. The Hero’s Journey: Become the Person YOU Want to Be is a 6-chapter course-community designed to help you become the hero of your own life. Each chapter includes short video lessons with Julie and exercises designed to help you understand your moral strengths and weaknesses, and to better align your decisions with the ideal version of yourself so that you can approach the next moral challenge with greater courage, confidence, and peace.
Did you know that you can decide who you want to be? Did you know that there are specific habit-building exercises that can help you to become that person?
Becoming the person you want to be doesn’t happen overnight; it happens by setting your intention and learning how to infuse purpose into the decisions — big and little — that you make every day. Like building physical muscle, building moral muscle requires breaking the ‘fibres’ of your old habits so that new, stronger muscles can grow in their place.
I am here to act as your guide along your own journey. I’ll share how I managed some of my biggest ethical challenges, as well as what I’ve learned from 20 years researching and teaching thousands of students at universities in Canada and the US.
Each course chapter is developed around a specific part of the hero’s journey:
Chapter 1: Setting Your Compass

Chapter 3: You Are What You Do
Chapter 4: Decision-making and problem-solving in the midst of chaos
Chapter 5: Allies and Enemies
Chapter 6: Return and Reward (the Key to Happiness)
Course participants will receive:
Monthly 2-hour Q&A Sessions with Julie
To help set your intention, identify and realign your goals for the coming month, and answer any questions you may have as
you work through the course
6 Months of Course Content
Each of the 6 chapters is composed of 5 lessons, with videos and a series of exercises that you can complete at your own pace
